This woven glass piece captures and reflects light in the most enchanting way! Adorned with little dichroic butterflies that seem to dance with joy, it embodies a celebration of life and beauty.
This masterpiece is a collaboration of several talented artists. The journey begins with the glassmaker at Bullseye Glass, who creates a unique sheet of glass. From this singular creation, I carefully select the perfect sections to craft this piece. The chosen glass is cut and placed on a special glass mold, then fired in my kiln to achieve the intricate woven pattern. After the initial firing, each strand of glass is meticulously threaded to ensure the perfect look. A second firing then fuses the weave into a cohesive whole.
Simultaneously, I work with a second kiln to create the dichroic butterflies, which require two separate firings to achieve their mesmerizing color-changing effect. Each firing can take up to 12 hours, allowing the butterflies to attain their vibrant beauty. Once completed, the butterflies are delicately integrated with the woven glass, uniting the two elements in a seamless blend.
This extraordinary piece is truly one-of-a-kind and can never be replicated exactly. It is displayed on a custom wrought iron stand, crafted by another skilled artist, providing a perfect backdrop for the butterflies to appear as if they've just landed on the glass.

Materials Glass & Metal
Glass has a fluidness to it, a feeling and energy that can bring smiles, joy, and comfort, to those watching the way it dances in the light. If you visit my studio, you will see about 10 creations started at once while scattered about the studio is a stash of colors, shapes, and sizes of glass and bobbles, just begging to be put into the next creation. I’m constantly inspired by the spirit that is inherent in every piece of glass and how it can be shaped to exemplify the natural beauty of the world around us.
I was born and raised in the heart of America in a sleepy little country town called St. Peters, Missouri. My parents firmly believed in family vacations and exploring everything from coastal beaches to rocky mountains, which allowed me to experience many different landscapes and natural settings in my formative years. It was quickly clear that summer vacations at the beach were always my favorite!
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
