Step into the world of Fused Glass Fun and create a Kitty in a Fishbowl or a Lightening Bug Jar, and yes, the lightening bugs glow in the dark! Both will be created choosing from a selection of bobbles and shapes placed on a preformed base. Want to add flowers to your Jar, you can! Want to add coral to your fish bowl, why not? Your creativity is the only limit in creating these fun pieces! The hard part is choosing which one to make!
The Kitty in a Fishbowl have tropical fish that are flown in from around the world, created by other, very talented artists! The Lightening Bug Jars also offers components featuring the work of an artist from Florida who specializes in glow in the dark dots and bobbles!
You will have approximately 2 hours to complete your creation and enjoy a nice glass of wine, included in your ticket price. I will then take the pieces back to my home studio in Eagleville, fire them, and return them to the winery for a pick up party in approximately 2 weeks. (Date to be decided).
The Kitty in a Fishbowl and the Lightening Bug Jar will have an option to be made as a suncatcher or sitting in a lighted base. The base is noted here as an option to purchase.
Note: Due to the small class size and prep work involved weeks ahead of time for each piece, we cannot offer refunds or transfers to another class. We can, however, let you find someone to fill in for you. We will offer a refund if we cancel for any reason.
Glass has a fluidness to it, a feeling and energy that can bring smiles, joy, and comfort, to those watching the way it dances in the light. If you visit my studio, you will see about 10 creations started at once while scattered about the studio is a stash of colors, shapes, and sizes of glass and bobbles, just begging to be put into the next creation. I’m constantly inspired by the spirit that is inherent in every piece of glass and how it can be shaped to exemplify the natural beauty of the world around us.
I was born and raised in the heart of America in a sleepy little country town called St. Peters, Missouri. My parents firmly believed in family vacations and exploring everything from coastal beaches to rocky mountains, which allowed me to experience many different landscapes and natural settings in my formative years. It was quickly clear that summer vacations at the beach were always my favorite!
