Mine was in your post but here’s where it ended up. It also started my love affair with your glass.

I have PTSD and doing the stained glass helps calm my head down. The focusing and calm I feel when cutting, soldering or even just foiling helps me get my flashbacks back in control… either gone for a while or back to a manageable level.

Love having dedicated creative time with creative people to work on projects. I’m not exactly a rule follower but you have encouraged me to experiment and figure out what works for me. There aren’t any hard NOs, there are “let’s figure out how to do that.” Having art in my life I believe has literally saved my life so I look forward to my creative time.

Stained glass class is my happy place! I have made so many new friends who also enjoy art! I love all I am learning about creating art with glass, but the group in my class also makes it special. I love how everyone helps each other. Susan is an amazing teacher and no matter what you think the problem is, she can help you fix it. When I am in class creating with glass,I couldn’t be happier!

It’s hard to see now brilliantly beautiful the bees are as they flash with changing colors. I LOVE my bees. They will be hung in my office just to admire.

I’ve learned to appreciate the process and beauty of stained glass. I also learned that this is not the best medium for this lady to play with due to the whole blood thinner thing. Lol! But the best thing was to witness others triumphs and growth through the beautiful pieces created by each and every one of them.

I’ve learned, and still am learning patience. I’ve learned to be calm about mistakes (everything is fixable). I’ve learned to stay humble, and keep asking questions. I’ve learned to wear protective gear. And I’ve learned to appreciate a good teacher and creative classmates!

I’ve learned that I’m always learning. No matter how much I do something, others may have a technique or tweak that makes what I am working on a bit easier or prettier. I love getting ideas from watching others and in studying projects.
