“It is difficult to walk into any area of our home without finding a designed piece of artwork by, Susan Hamilton. You see, not only does she have a creative flair with her designs, she studies each piece of glass before dedicating it to its end result and allows the glass to speak to her in a sense. So there is no accident that a fish is created from randomly placed pieces, or an Angle emerges out of nothing. Along with her natural creative abilities, she “charges” each of the pieces as she works on them with positive energy. This explains why they “feel” so good too. I have never told, Susan this, but several of the pieces we purchased for gifts never made it to the intended gift party. They came home with my husband and me, and stayed here! Secrets out! Susan Hamilton is a talented artist with all the right energetic resources to produce powerful pieces! Thank you, Susan!”

Mine was in your post but here’s where it ended up. It also started my love affair with your glass.

I have PTSD and doing the stained glass helps calm my head down. The focusing and calm I feel when cutting, soldering or even just foiling helps me get my flashbacks back in control… either gone for a while or back to a manageable level.

Love having dedicated creative time with creative people to work on projects. I’m not exactly a rule follower but you have encouraged me to experiment and figure out what works for me. There aren’t any hard NOs, there are “let’s figure out how to do that.” Having art in my life I believe has literally saved my life so I look forward to my creative time.

Kathy

Stained glass class is my happy place! I have made so many new friends who also enjoy art! I love all I am learning about creating art with glass, but the group in my class also makes it special. I love how everyone helps each other. Susan is an amazing teacher and no matter what you think the problem is, she can help you fix it. When I am in class creating with glass,I couldn’t be happier!

It’s hard to see now brilliantly beautiful the bees are as they flash with changing colors. I LOVE my bees. They will be hung in my office just to admire.

“We got our beautiful eggs!
Thank you!!”

I’ve learned to appreciate the process and beauty of stained glass. I also learned that this is not the best medium for this lady to play with due to the whole blood thinner thing. Lol! But the best thing was to witness others triumphs and growth through the beautiful pieces created by each and every one of them.

Cindy

I’ve learned, and still am learning patience. I’ve learned to be calm about mistakes (everything is fixable). I’ve learned to stay humble, and keep asking questions. I’ve learned to wear protective gear. And I’ve learned to appreciate a good teacher and creative classmates!

Carri

I’ve learned that I’m always learning. No matter how much I do something, others may have a technique or tweak that makes what I am working on a bit easier or prettier. I love getting ideas from watching others and in studying projects.

Robyn

My husband fell in love with this piece, because it reminded him of fishing on a favorite pond when he was a kid. It became a beautiful Christmas gift for him. Photos can’t even capture the beautiful colors in the glass.

Love your imagination and Visions of oceanlife! reminds me of my many trips to Hawaii and the peace and beauty there. your soldering is amazing.

I’ve learned everything I’ve needed to know on stained glass, to at least work on projects on my own or at home. If I have questions or need advice, Susan or the other classmates are very helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing, and fun. Love the choice of music played in class. Small classes are great for beginners classes (because supplies are shared), and when intermediate students have their own supplies then it makes it okay for the class to be bigger. I look forward to stained glass classes because it’s my happy place, it’s relaxing, and I love seeing the projects others are creating. I also like how everyone is encouraging and positive. I’ve made some awesome friends too.

“We have purchased several of Susan Hamilton’s glass art. It’s kind of hard to call her pieces just “stained Glass” because she goes far beyond the old normal styles of the traditional work. She magically incorporates three dimensions and even a feel of life into her pieces. She is truly an artist and her medium happens to be glass”.
